JP HydroFoil Slalom 2026 – an aerodynamic masterpiece for foil racing.
The JP HydroFoil Slalom 2026 range is designed for riders who demand maximum speed, control, and efficiency in foil racing conditions. At its core is the completely redesigned HF SL 85, which sets a new performance benchmark thanks to improved aerodynamics and a refined hull shape.
With decades of shaping expertise from Werner Gnigler, the board has been engineered to take off earlier, accelerate faster, and remain exceptionally stable even at full speed. Every detail has been developed with one goal in mind: higher performance with full control at extreme speeds.

New HF SL 85 – more speed and control
The HF SL 85 features a slightly longer outline and an optimized scoop-rocker line, allowing earlier take-offs at lower speeds while maintaining a compact feel thanks to the sharp V-shape on the underside of the nose.
The biggest changes are found in the deck design. Its new aerodynamic profile works like an airfoil, reducing drag, generating lift, and improving stability during flight.
Key updates include:
- New rail design that reduces turbulence and improves airflow and water release
- Tail deck cut-out for clean airflow separation
- Flatter deck under the front foot for improved leverage and foil power transfer
- Refined rail shape under the back foot for better comfort and control
- Double rear footstrap plug options for adjustable stance depending on wind strength and riding style
- S-TEC technology – ultra-light racing construction
In foil racing, every gram matters. That is why all HydroFoil Slalom boards use advanced S-TEC technology, focused on minimal weight without compromising strength.
This includes:
- No paint finish
- Reduced anti-slip (only in the stance area)
- Thinner pads with less EVA foam and adhesive
- Optimized composite layup with individually prepared fibers
The result is a board up to 300 grams lighter than conventional constructions, delivering earlier take-offs, sharper reactions, and superior control at high speeds.
Shape highlights (all sizes):
- Aerodynamic nose for smooth airflow and stable lift
- Mast base area designed for efficiency and smooth touchdowns
- Mast track recess that improves control at high speed and during gybes
- Aerodynamic tail shaping for increased stability
- Large tail cut-outs reducing drag and enabling instant take-off
- Wide tail for leverage and control over strong foil forces
- Premium construction
The HydroFoil Slalom 2026 boards are built using high-end composite technology:
- Full Biax Carbon deck
- High-density PVC sandwich layers in deck and bottom
- Biax Carbon reinforcements in footstrap areas
- Glass reinforcements in the central standing and footstrap zones
- Full parabolic rails reinforced with overlapping carbon and glass layers
- Deck cut-out for improved airflow
- Mast track recess to close the gap
- Large tail cut-outs
- Foil-Tuttle Box system
- Footstraps with adjustment scale
- New sail positioning scale
The JP HydroFoil Slalom 2026 is a faster, lighter, and more aerodynamic racing machine than ever before. The redesigned HF SL 85 leads the way with next-level efficiency across all wind ranges, while the 80 and 88 models complete the ultimate quiver for competitive foil slalom racing.
