Foil windsurfing boards

Wind foil is taking all the world’s waters by storm. It is a wind-powered water sport, created from a combination of kitesurfing, windsurfing, and hydrofoiling. The design of a wind foil combines a wing resembling a hybrid of a kite wing and windsurfing, a foil, and a board almost like one for SUP. All these elements must come together as one and be adapted to the user’s skill level.
Wind foil boards differ in several ways. First of all, we distinguish between rigid and inflatable boards; the former have a clear advantage over the latter in terms of riding quality, as well as stability and mechanical durability. When choosing one, we pay attention to buoyancy. Wind foil boards from our offer are dedicated to both beginners and experienced riders who can efficiently tackle high waves.
Wind foil board buoyancy
Beginners should choose wind foil boards, adding from +20 to +80 to their body weight. If you already have experience, e.g. with surfing or windsurfing, you can afford a board with lower buoyancy. If water sports have so far been a very distant topic for you, we definitely recommend adding about +50 to +80 to your body weight.
At an intermediate level, the buoyancy of a wind foil board should correspond to body weight plus from 0 to +20. It is completely different at the advanced stage, because board buoyancy is calculated by adding or subtracting from -40 to +10. If you care about a quick response and getting up from your knees, choose a wind foil board with buoyancy corresponding to your body weight plus +5 to +10. Do you like challenges and want as much freedom as possible when switching the wing to the other side? Choose a board with lower buoyancy.
Key aspects when choosing a wind foil board
One of the elements sometimes missing in wind foil boards, are straps. If they are meant only for jumps, then this is intentional. However, if your preferences are not fully defined, pay attention to whether a given board allows them to be mounted. A similar situation applies to board durability. It must be solid enough to withstand the additional load during jumps. Landing cushioning, in turn, is provided by special foot pads.
