Description

JP HydroFoil Performance / Freeride 2026 – easy access to high-level foiling performance

The JP HydroFoil Performance series is designed to bridge the gap between freeride comfort and high-performance foil racing. Derived from the Slalom foil designs, these boards have been refined to be more accessible and versatile. The 133 and 155 models deliver the perfect balance of user-friendliness, stability, and efficient foil performance.

Shaper Werner Gnigler focused on removing unnecessary volume and width while preserving the key characteristics needed for fast, controlled foiling. The result is a board that is easy to sail, yet fast, efficient, and highly responsive once airborne.

Easy control and stable flight

The HydroFoil Performance boards feature a narrow, compact shape that provides:
 - low swing weight for precise control in the air
 - stable and predictable flight behaviour
 - early take-off and efficient acceleration

Even volume distribution helps early lift-off, while added volume in the nose makes uphauling easier.

Smart shape design for effortless performance

The forward section with rounded rails and a defined tuck line provides:
 - easy water starts
 - reduced drag during touch-downs
 - instant rebound and quick return to flight

A slightly domed deck in the footstrap area improves ergonomics and allows efficient power transfer to the foil.

Large tail cut-outs:
 - reduce volume and drag
 - make pumping and take-off easier
 - improve control during touchdowns

The thin profile minimizes aerodynamic and hydrodynamic drag while airborne, ensuring stable performance even in gusty conditions.

Model overview:

133 – All-round performance:
 - most versatile shape in the range
 - wide wind range
 - suitable for most riders and sail sizes
 - ideal “one-board-fits-all” solution

155 – Freeride / light wind:
 - optimized for low wind and large sails
 - ideal for heavier riders
 - very stable and comfortable
 - flexible stance options thanks to 6-hole footstrap inserts

Construction & technology

All boards feature a reinforced Foil-Tuttlebox system and Wood Pro construction:
 - parabolic rail reinforcement
 - Innegra nose reinforcement for impact protection
 - full paulownia wood sandwich bottom construction
 - large tail cut-outs
 - multiple footstrap positions with scale
 - Foil-Tuttle box system
 - no fin box
 - new mast track and sail positioning scale

The JP HydroFoil Performance 2026 boards combine freeride comfort with true foil performance. They are easy to control, fast in flight, and highly efficient. With their stability and accessibility, they deliver a safe yet exciting foiling experience – ideal for both progressing riders and advanced freeriders alike.
