JP Magic Move is a modern freemove board designed by Werner Gnigler for windsurfers who want maximum performance and versatility in medium to strong wind conditions. It blends freeride efficiency with freestyle wave maneuverability, resulting in a board that is more agile and playful than traditional freeride shapes, while still maintaining excellent speed and stability.

The Magic Move is aimed at riders using boards in the approximately 90–110 liter range who want a compact, fast, and highly responsive platform. It performs equally well on flat water, choppy conditions, and small waves, making it a true all-rounder for dynamic windsurfing.

A key design feature is its wide, relatively parallel outline in the center section, creating a large planing surface. This ensures very early and effortless planing, as well as excellent speed retention even in gusty or inconsistent wind conditions. The balanced volume distribution supports stability during displacement sailing and smooth acceleration into planing.

The board features a distinctive rail design that enhances both lift and control. In the midsection, the rail line promotes additional lift, helping maintain speed during powered sailing and transitions. In the tail section, a step rail design improves grip in turns while allowing smooth release when needed, ensuring both control and agility in carving maneuvers and wave contact.

The bottom shape is designed for speed, comfort, and control. A flat rocker line supports early planing and efficient glide, while a double concave in the front section absorbs chop and improves comfort in rough conditions. A variable V-shape along the hull helps separate center tracking from rail engagement, enhancing both directional stability and maneuverability.

The Magic Move is highly effective in maintaining speed through turns. Its shape allows smooth rail-to-rail transitions while keeping the board planing through maneuvers, making it one of the most carving-oriented freemove boards in its class.
