Description

The JP Slalom S-TEC is a high-performance slalom board developed to achieve maximum speed while maintaining complete control in all conditions. Based on extensive PWA racing experience, its refined shapes are designed to sustain high average speeds throughout the course, with special attention given to fast and efficient gybes—where races are often won or lost.

The board delivers a stable and confidence-inspiring stance, making it easier to reach and maintain top speed with less physical effort. A wide tail provides increased leverage over the fin, resulting in stronger acceleration, greater power, and enhanced control at high speeds.

At the core of the design is JP’s signature Transforming V Flow bottom shape. A pronounced V-section in front of the mast track gradually decreases between the footstraps before opening up again towards the tail. This design allows the board to ride high above the water, absorb chop effectively, and maintain speed through turns.

The compact outline with a parallel mid-section maximizes the planing surface, ensuring exceptionally early planing performance. A slim nose profile reduces aerodynamic drag, while the aerodynamic deck shape enhances control even at very high speeds.

An ergonomically shaped deck provides a comfortable riding position, helping riders conserve energy during long reaches and stay focused on performance. An additional recess around the mast track lowers the working position of the mast base, improving control and optimizing airflow between the sail and the board.

The S-TEC construction has been developed with maximum efficiency in mind. By eliminating paint, reducing the non-slip surface to essential areas, using compact deck pads, and optimizing the lamination process, JP has significantly reduced weight while maintaining excellent stiffness. The result is earlier planing, easier handling, and higher top-end speed.
