In 2003 a kite was launched to help people maximize their time on the water. The name became synonymous with light wind riding, and has since become a staple in many kiters quivers. The Contra 3 Strut continues this legacy and provides the rider with the ultimate blend of light wind power and agility to maximize time on the water in threshold winds. Its supported 3 strut frame allows to not only drive forward when using a more traditional selection of kiteboards, but it also provides a stable canopy and an increased high end range.

This year, we are witnessing the biggest evolution in Contra's history. By utilizing HTD Lite and Lite Frame technologies, we have managed to reduce the kite's weight by 15%, enabling it to perform even better in light winds. The three-strut design makes this kite perfect for riding in light wind conditions on a twin tip board, and it is also the ultimate kite for light wind jumping that we have ever created.This kite has been designed specifically for riding in very light winds, even bordering on marginal conditions. At the same time, the wind range of the Cabrinha Contra has been expanded compared to previous models, especially in smaller sizes. With the appropriate larger equipment, it can be used even in wind speeds below 10 knots. The profile and characteristics of this kite allow for easy water relaunch even in weak gusts, while maintaining a high upper wind limit.
