Product description

2024 FLY II PRO is an innovative evolution of the first FLY edition from 2023.
The shape has undergone changes similar to those in the FLY II, but it has also been enhanced with top-quality materials,
to ensure exceptional performance and user comfort.

An even stiffer frame changes the load-bearing properties, as well as the twist profile. This results in much better handling and control in strong wind conditions. The canopy stress distribution, originally derived from windsurf sail construction, has been precisely tuned to improve upwind speed, and thus handling during upwind maneuvers. The double-skin, reinforced leading edge profile has been redesigned to increase stability when flying in the harness and on the leash. Additional leading edge (LE) segments at the wing tips not only reduce drag, but also provide extra stiffness, allowing the wing to point higher into the wind at a sharper angle. The ventilated strut has been updated with additional reinforcement on the leading edge (LE) in the middle, increasing stability in the area in front of the fill panel, making the wing more "forgiving" when losing optimal upwind positions during tacks.

With the original FLY, our goal was to increase stability, stiffness, and improve handling and control. FLY II PRO introduces Aluula Aeris X, with a +/-45° X weave unlike standard Aluula. The lightweight Aeris wing tips result in significantly increased stiffness. This makes it possible to achieve a thinner and stiffer leading edge (LE) than ever before. Additionally, because the materials consist of a single polymer, they are recyclable.

FLY PRO now has even lighter carbon fiber handles with black, texture-free EVA foam, providing a clean and technical look.

The sizes have been carefully considered and selected – the half-square-meter increments of Fly Pro are optimal for more "professional" users. Neilpryde is the ideal premium wing.

FLY PRO VS FLY

Fly II and Fly II PRO are very similar, but they differ. Thanks to the smaller tube diameter in the FLY PRO, the profiles of both foils differ. The smaller diameter gives a more aggressive angle of attack and more stiffness, thereby reducing air resistance. The Fly PRO canopy seems slightly smaller, and thus gives the FLY 2 PRO a more dynamic character.

INTEGRATED RAIL SYSTEM

INTEGRATED RAIL SYSTEM

Integrated composite battens create a flat, rigid, and maximally streamlined trailing edge, ensuring minimal flutter and maximum control.

CROSS PANELS OF THE WING

Transverse stiffening panels that retain their shape under load and stretch much less over time. Currently, there are 4 sewn transverse panels on each side of the wing, compared to just 2 in the previous model, which significantly increases the stability of the structure and greatly improves load-bearing properties.
