RS:Flight EVO VIII returns in 2026 with a refined, tighter leech — designed for faster, more efficient foiling that generates strong apparent winds. As foil speed increases, this design boosts aerodynamic efficiency and holding power, delivering more drive with smaller leech movements — resulting in precise, “locked-in” handling.

Product description

FOIL RACING EVOLUTION:
- High performance, high aspect ratio, designed for PWA courses.
- Ultralight, exceptional speed and stability.
- Dedicated racing sail for foiling.
- 7-batten layout.

RS:Flight EVO VIII returns in 2026 with a refined, tighter leech — designed for faster, more efficient foiling that generates high apparent winds. As foil speed increases, this design boosts aerodynamic efficiency and holding power, delivering more drive with less leech movement — resulting in precise, locked-in handling.

In 2025, the main improvements focused on high-end performance and stability, and these refinements remain in 2026:

- A higher overall aspect ratio, combined with a shorter boom length and reduced head width, significantly improves high-end speed performance.
- Increased mast sleeve width to widen the sail's double-profile surface. This improves airflow efficiency and, more importantly, significantly increases profile stability.

For 2026, we have further increased durability by using our strongest rip-stop Dacron in the front section of the upper mast sleeve. All battens are made from pure carbon tubes, reducing weight and stabilizing the sail profile.

Design-driven project

INNOVATION

Designed and tested at our NeilPryde Maui Design Center by Robert Stroj, then further developed thanks to feedback from our riders around the world. We leave no detail overlooked in our relentless pursuit of being the best at what we do.

Sail features:

The most successful racing sail evolution in the world
RS:Racing has won more world titles and speed records than any other racing sail over the past 20 years.

Four-layer mast sleeve
The mast sleeve consists of 4 layers of material, increasing strength and load-bearing capacity in this critical, highly loaded area of the sail. This sleeve layout allows maximum downhaul tension and significantly reduces stretch in this area, improving performance.
The tafetta introduced in the upper mast sleeve in 2024 increases stretch resistance, efficiency, and durability.

7-batten layout
The 7-batten layout provides maximum control and stability.

Batten layout for airflow
The battens are positioned aerodynamically correctly, taking into account sail twist while sailing. This improves airflow, makes rotation easier, and helps acceleration.

Leading edge rib
Carbon ribs sewn into the front edge of the upper sleeve stabilize this critical part of the profile on the top battens, where cambers are not used.
This helps maintain a clean sail profile, reduces drag, enables higher top speed, and ensures proper rotation.

New materials in the mast sleeve and luff panel
New materials have improved durability and increased stretch resistance, creating an even more responsive and competitive racing sail.

High aspect ratio construction
The RS:Flight shape has a significantly higher aspect ratio than the RS:Racing, further enhanced in the 2026 edition. This allows the sail to make the most of every gust and promotes maximum speed and performance upwind and downwind.

Tight leech
Designed exclusively for foil racing, RS:Flight uses construction solutions that are not optimal for fin sails due to the need for control and wind release in chop. Therefore, RS:Flight includes all the above construction advantages to achieve maximum efficiency when powering a pure racing foil board.
