For 2026, RS:Racing EVO XVII focuses on the smaller sizes from 5.6 down — directly inspired by the speed sail that broke windsurfing records in 2024. Expect explosive acceleration, precise drive, and elite-level performance guaranteed to win races.
The larger sizes remain structurally unchanged from 2025, along with the technological refinements introduced with the new materials last year: taffeta in the upper mast sleeve and Lite Skin Aramid in the clew corner. For 2026, we have further increased durability by using our strongest rip-stop Dacron at the front of the upper mast sleeve.
Material advances have made it possible to improve strength and increase stretch resistance, creating an even more responsive and competitive racing sail.
6 of the 7 battens are pure carbon tubes, which reduces weight and stabilizes the sail profile.
INNOVATION
Designed and tested at our NeilPryde Maui Design Center by Robert Stroj, then refined based on feedback from our riders around the world. We leave no detail overlooked in our relentless pursuit of being the best at what we do.
Sail features
The most winning evolution of a racing sail in the world
RS:Racing has won more world titles and speed records than any other racing sail over the past 20 years.
Four-layer mast sleeve
The mast sleeve, made of 4 layers of material, increases strength and load-bearing capacity in this critical, heavily loaded part of the sail. This sleeve construction allows maximum downhaul tension and significantly reduces stretch in the mast sleeve area, improving performance.
The taffeta introduced in 2024 in the upper mast sleeve increases stretch resistance, efficiency, and durability.
7-batten construction
Unmatched control and stability thanks to the 7-batten layout.
Aerodynamic batten placement
The battens are positioned in an aerodynamically correct way, taking into account sail twist while sailing. This improves airflow and makes rotation and acceleration easier.
Reinforcing ribs on the luff
Carbon ribs sewn onto the luff of the upper sleeve stabilize this critical part of the profile on the top battens, where cambers are not used.
This helps maintain a clean sail profile, reduces drag, allows for higher top speed, and ensures proper rotation.
New materials in the mast sleeve and clew corner
New materials have allowed us to improve durability and increase stretch resistance, creating an even more responsive and competitive racing sail.
5.6 optimized in 2025
The 5.6 model is now based on our highly successful dedicated 5.7 speed sail, but with a shorter lower batten (reduced foot), optimized for slalom.
Characteristics

AIRFLOW TUBE CARBON STRIPS
Tube strips made of carbon fiber are arranged in an aerodynamically correct manner, taking into account the sail's tilt during sailing. This improves airflow, facilitates rotation, and accelerates.

INTERIOR PRINTED

FOUR-LAYER MAST SLEEVE
New for 2024: taffeta in the upper mast sleeve increases resistance to stretching, performance, and durability.

ULTRA CLEAR WINDOW

LITE SKIN ARAMID
Extremely strong, abrasion-resistant, and lightweight.
