Combat remains the sail of choice for our World Cup riders, refined for 2026 with subtle yet effective changes to the battens that increase low-end power — while maintaining the legendary top-end control that makes this sail so popular.
The Combat Pro Fuse construction features Q-Bond welded tack and clew, custom-laminated Ultra Scrim panels in the top and body, and a clear window for optimal visibility and ultra-light handling.
Available in Pro Fuse, HD and Regular constructions, Combat continues to build on its reputation for high performance, durable reliability and versatility — now with more power where it matters.
2.9 available only in Pro Fuse, 5.6 available only in Pro Fuse and HD
INNOVATIONS
Designed and tested at the NeilPryde Maui Design Center by Robert Stroj, then refined through feedback from our team riders around the world. We spare no detail in our ongoing pursuit of being the best at what we do.
In 2024, we redesigned our wave sail line from the ground up. We started at the 3D design stage, creating new panel layouts and using new materials to eliminate seams, reduce weight and increase responsiveness. In 2025, the main design features remained unchanged, but we improved the material selection in the tack and clew areas for even greater durability. In 2026, we focused on low-end power without compromising top-end performance, making the most popular wave sail even more versatile.
The result is the best wave sail line in the company's history. This year with a little more power down low!
CONSTRUCTION:
- Q-Bonded Aramid Pro Fuse tack and clew
- Lightweight Ultra Scrim top panel
- Ripstop Taffeta X-Ply laminate in the leech
- Ultra-clear window panel
- Best visibility on the wave
- The lightest and most responsive construction
Sail features:
Drive and acceleration
The new, higher aspect ratio carried over from 2024, with a slightly longer leech, narrower luff and larger head, gives the Combat excellent drive and acceleration both on the wave and when getting up to speed in marginal conditions. The thinner batten above the luff for 2026 allows the sail to fill with wind faster and provides extra low-end power.
Wide wind range
Thanks to the redesigned outline, updated leech curve and new, larger panel layout, this is the most versatile version of this sail. Rig it full when the wind is light or you want to use a smaller sail for greater maneuverability, or add a bit of luff extension when setting it up in overpowered conditions.
Stability
Our latest leech curve and sail shaping have made it slightly stiffer compared to 2023, and the result is that the 24/25/26 sails remain stable even in strong wind.
4-batten layout
Our new panel layout significantly reduced the number of seams needed in the sail. Combined with carefully selected materials, this allowed us to reduce sail weight by around 25% compared to the 2023 model through 24 and beyond.
