Replacing our timeless favorite, the XC Carbon boom, the Carbon Pro 27 arrives in a completely new edition for 2025. Our top-end pre-preg carbon monocoque boom was created for advanced riders who demand razor-sharp precision from their equipment. This boom delivers instant control thanks to increased torsional stiffness and a square-profile tail, giving an exceptionally comfortable and responsive feel in the hands. The Carbon Pro 27 offers unmatched control thanks to its 27 mm diameter — ideal for those who prefer a thicker grip and the stiffest possible connection to the sail. It also features our VT connection for the strongest possible mast-to-boom connection, as well as a custom pre-preg carbon monocoque tail extension and a square-profile tail for added strength, stiffness, and durability.
Characteristics
VT JOINT
Increases the contact area between the boom attachment and the mast. Can be used on any mast with a standard diameter. Reduces the risk of point loading. Minimizes play between the boom and mast connection. Allows for easy height adjustment of the boom.
MAST CUP
The mast cup provides 2 contact points between the cup and the mast, creating a secure connection and ensuring excellent power transfer.
The V shape accommodates differences in standard mast diameters. Slightly thinner masts sit deeper in the V, while wider ones sit more outward. The VT-Joint is the standard in all NeilPryde booms.
OUTHAUL LOOP-TO-HOOK SYSTEM
Ensures low friction without line crossing, allowing for free sail movement. The system has been further enhanced with high-quality Dyneema lines. Lever: The integrated boom lever is equipped with high-quality Dyneema line.
TRIM-PIN — LEVER CONSTRUCTION
Double insert with an easy-to-use locking and opening lever.
Allows for simple adjustment of the rear part, optimal load distribution, and a rigid connection between the mast body and the tail end.
INTEGRATED MAST LEVER
Integrated mast lever that facilitates locking and opening. Designed with a smaller footprint and lower weight.
SHIM
Removable, click-in adapter (shim) for the V-shaped RDM mast.
XC WAVE TAIL
Custom monocoque tail extensions made of pre-preg carbon. Available in two unique wave tail sizes: 140 and 160. They feature hollow section tubes/box construction and a fully integrated steel loop-and-hook outhaul system.
