Product description

JP Australia 21 JP HydroFoil Board LXT - 135

Flying on a foil

JP was one of the first leading windsurfing brands to introduce specialized foil boards. It now offers a line of three dedicated foil boards in two different technologies. Popular since their introduction, the shapes are ideal for all levels of foil windsurfers, from beginners to advanced foil racers. The 120, 135 and 150 models have remained unchanged and represent a balanced mix of fast, performance-oriented boards that are easily accessible and user-friendly.

Shape details

A constant nose rocker combined with a soft tuck line and bevels in the front section of the board ensure smooth and forgiving touch-downs as soon as the board's nose hits the water. This is very important because many beginners tend to nose-dive. The noses do not dig into the water, but bounce off it, and you keep flying.

The flat deck shape and perfectly positioned footstraps allow for an upright stance and control over the foil's power.

Volume and width help get the board out of the water early.

Tail cutouts reduce volume in the tail. These cutouts also make it easier to get the board out of the water earlier by allowing the wide tail to be easily pushed down and the foil to be "pumped" during takeoff.

120:

Very short, lively and exciting, it is the right tool for exploring new boundaries of the sport. They are designed for stronger winds, small sails and advanced riders. No limits: Free your mind, be innovative, these shapes will get you there. Compared to large boards, the compact board with a narrow outline offers a more centered stance and very responsive fun!

135:

The second generation of the shape that started it all: it features all the latest foil shape features of its siblings, such as very pronounced V-bevels and V-angled bevels in the nose section, making foiling easy and more accessible for everyone. The cutouts have been designed so that the board gets onto the foil immediately and flies. The tail is wide and the straps are far outboard, giving greater power control. This size is known for being versatile, almost universal, as it covers a very wide wind range.

150:

Originally designed for the first PWA foil competitions, today the 150 is the most efficient and very fast board for light winds. It suits heavyweight riders and everyone who needs to use very large sails. Compared to the latest super-wide race boards, it can be pumped onto the foil with less effort and has more freeride appeal because it is much easier to sail - especially on a broad reach. The additional option of mounting the straps more inboard helps with control during runs through waves on strong-wind courses.

All HydroFoil shapes take into account a different stance on the board compared to fin windsurfing, as well as the board's aerodynamic behavior. They are tuned so that flying above the water is easy, accessible, fast and fun for everyone.

The key to this is excellent balance, stability and great leverage on the foil.

Compact designs feature a wide tail and parallel outline that helps control, balance and work on the foil's lift. The short profile allows the wing weight to be minimized.

The thin profile reduces drag in the air and creates as little resistance as possible, which is very important in flight because strong gusts do not affect stability. Your flight will be very stable and balanced.

All HydroFoil boards are equipped with a special, reinforced Tuttle-Foilbox.

Performance, balance and power. At the same time easy to handle and a lot of fun to use!
