Product description

JP Magic Ride is one of the most recognizable and highly regarded freeride boards in the JP Australia range. Since its debut on the market, this model has earned acclaim thanks to its exceptional combination of ease of handling, stability, comfort, and sporty performance. The latest generation develops this philosophy even further, offering better control at higher speeds, greater comfort in chop, and even more intuitive maneuvering.

Magic Ride has been designed as a freeride board with a clear emphasis on maneuverability. It is a model that lets you enjoy fast riding without the need to constantly fight the equipment. The board handles naturally and predictably, giving a sense of full control from the very first moments on the water. Its character makes both relaxed cruising and dynamic freeride sessions exceptionally enjoyable.

One of Magic Ride's biggest strengths is its performance during turns. The manufacturer refers to this model as the “Gentleman of Turns” because the board initiates turns exceptionally easily, flows smoothly through the entire tack, and helps maintain planing when exiting the maneuver. Thanks to its high tolerance for mistakes and stable behavior, it significantly improves the success rate of jibes, which will be especially appreciated by riders developing their skills. At the same time, more advanced riders can perform tighter carving turns, carving 360s, or more dynamic freeride maneuvers.

The construction is based on a wide and relatively thin platform with an extended waterline. The slightly narrower center section of the hull and greater length improve planing performance, make earlier planing easier, and increase directional stability at speed. The even distribution of volume keeps the center of gravity close to the mast base, which positively affects balance and control. The wide nose increases stability during displacement sailing, while the wide tail improves release from the water, reduces drag, and enhances control in stronger wind.

The bottom features an increased V-Flow profile that effectively absorbs water surface chop, improves riding comfort, and makes the board extremely easy to transition from one turn to the next. As a result, Magic Ride retains its sporty and dynamic character while remaining one of the most comfortable freeride boards available on the market.

The Magic Ride model also stands out for its great versatility. Different strap mounting positions allow the setup to be adjusted to the rider's skill level and preferred riding style – from relaxed cruising to more sporty freeride. In the Wood Pro version, the board is also equipped with a reinforced Foil-Powerbox, allowing foil use.
