JP Magic Move is a modern freemove board designed by Werner Gnigler, created for windsurfers who expect sporty performance in medium to strong wind conditions. This model combines freeride and freestyle wave elements, offering a more maneuverable and looser character than classic freeride boards, while maintaining high speed and stability.

Magic Move was designed with riders sailing in the range of approximately 90–110 liters in mind, who want a board that is fast, easy to plane, and very responsive. The construction ensures dynamic riding both on flat water and in choppy conditions, waves, and on the open ocean.

One of the key design elements is the wide and relatively parallel outline in the middle section of the board, which creates a large planing surface. As a result, the board gets up on the plane very easily and maintains speed even in variable wind, without the need for intensive pumping. Increased volume in the rear section supports earlier planing and stability during acceleration.

A distinctive feature of the Magic Move is also its modern rail shape. In the middle section, the buoyancy line has been placed higher, which generates additional lift and helps maintain speed during upwind sailing and when exiting maneuvers. In the rear section, a step rail has been used, allowing for a wide tail while maintaining very good edge hold in turns and in contact with the wave.

The bottom of the board has been designed with high speed and control in mind. The flat rocker line supports quick planing, and the double concave in the front section acts as natural cushioning, improving comfort in choppy conditions. The varied V profile helps separate the work of the rails from the central part of the hull, increasing both stability and maneuverability.

The Magic Move also stands out for its very good ability to maintain speed during turns. The board has been designed to flow smoothly through maneuvers and stay on the plane, making it one of the most carving-oriented designs in the freemove segment.

Thanks to numerous strap position options and the single fin Powerbox setup, the board can be easily adapted to different riding styles — from sporty freeride, through bump & jump, to riding in small waves.
