JP HydroFoil Performance / Freeride 2026 are easy-to-use foil boards combining freeride comfort with performance close to race models.
They were designed as more user-friendly versions of the Slalom series, offering stability, quick takeoff, and excellent control in the air. Thanks to a refined shape, lightweight construction, and large tail cutouts, these boards enable easy starts, smooth handling, and high speed even in lighter wind. They are the ideal choice for those who want to get into foiling quickly and comfortably.
Product description
P HydroFoil Performance / Freeride 2026 – easy access to high-performance foiling
The JP HydroFoil Performance series was designed as a combination of freeride convenience and the performance of race boards. It comes directly from the Slalom series concept, but has been simplified and adapted to a wider range of users. The 133 and 155 models offer the ideal balance between ease of handling, stability, and high foil performance.
From the very beginning, designer Werner Gnigler focused on removing unnecessary volume and width while preserving the key characteristics of fast and stable flight. The result is boards that are easy to handle, yet very fast and efficient.

Ease and control in flight
HydroFoil Performance boards have a narrow and compact shape, which provides:
- low inertia and easy control in the air
- stability and full control over the foil
- quick acceleration and earlier takeoff into flight
Even distribution of buoyancy makes starts easier, and additional buoyancy in the nose allows the board to be lifted out of the water easily (uphaul).
Thoughtful hull shape
The front part of the board has rounded rails with a distinct release line, which:
- makes starts easier
- reduces drag during accidental water touches
- allows you to get back into flight immediately
A slightly convex deck in the strap area improves ergonomics, increases control, and enables efficient transfer of power to the foil.
Large tail cutouts:
- reduce volume and drag
- make pumping and early planing easier
- improve response during water touches
The slim profile minimizes air and water drag during flight, ensuring stability even in strong gusts of wind.
Models:
133 – versatile all-round model:
- the most versatile size
- wide wind range
- suitable for most riders and sails
- the ideal "one for everything" choice
155 – freerace and light wind:
- greater buoyancy for light wind
- easy use for heavier riders and large sails
- very comfortable and stable
- wide strap adjustment possible thanks to 6-hole inserts
Construction and technologies
The boards are equipped with a reinforced Foil-Tuttle Box system and Wood Pro construction, including:
- parabolic rail reinforcements
- Innegra nose reinforcement (impact protection)
- full paulownia wood sandwich in the bottom
- large tail cutouts
- multiple footstrap positions and an adjustment scale
- Foil-Tuttle Box system
- no classic fin
- new sail positioning scale
JP HydroFoil Performance 2026 are boards created for easy and enjoyable foiling. They combine speed, stability, and control with great simplicity of use. As a result, they allow both beginners and more advanced users to enjoy fast, stable, and exciting foiling.
Characteristics

NARROW SHAPE
Shorter length maintains low rotational inertia, ensuring control and a balanced feel.

DELICATE BULGE IN THE FOOTSTRAP AREA
Better connection with the board and greater leverage over the foil, allowing for improved performance.

LARGE CUTOUTS
Immediate lift and reduced drag during occasional water touches.

THIN PROFILE
Minimizes drag when lifting off the water and creates the smallest possible resistance.
