Technologies and materials
Yamamoto Limestone Neoprene
A high-quality limestone neoprene used in NeilPryde wetsuits. The material is characterized by high flexibility and good insulating properties, providing comfort during water activities.
Tech Zag
Ultra-warm, quick-drying, and flexible inner insulation. The surface with distinctive raised texture is pleasant against the skin, and the special pattern helps wick away moisture, speeding up the drying process. The lining uses Silvadur antibacterial technology.
EFX Expansion Panel
NeilPryde’s proprietary system developed to increase forearm comfort. The construction allows the material to expand as blood flow increases during exertion, reducing hand and forearm fatigue during long sessions on the water.
Dri-Flex
An ultra-light outer material with a very short drying time. Combined with Yamamoto neoprene, it creates a lightweight and flexible construction that improves comfort between sessions.
Melco internal tape
A thin and flexible tape used to reinforce seams on the inside of the wetsuit. It limits water penetration through panel junctions and improves comfort when the material is in contact with the skin.
SCS seal
Soft neoprene used around the collar, designed to reduce water entry through the neck area while maintaining a comfortable fit.
Silvadur
An antibacterial fabric protection technology. It uses silver ions to limit the growth of microorganisms responsible for unpleasant odors and accelerated material degradation.
GBS seams – Glued and Blind Stitched
Glued and blind-stitched seams made using a triple-gluing process and stitching that does not penetrate the neoprene all the way through. This solution improves the watertightness of the construction and reduces water penetration through panel junctions.
