Product description
When we made the Sierra, we wanted to create the lightest snowboard boot we had ever made, without giving up the riding comfort characteristic of Nidecker’s modern boot line. The lighter the boot, the longer and more intensely you can ride. We are pleased to say that the Sierra is 27% lighter than its predecessor. The slimming down of the new SIERRA started with the outsole. In the Sierra model, we gave it the Gravity outsole, made from lightweight and durable EVA foam. We shaped the lugs in the same way as the rest of our outsoles—taking cues from nature and then adapting them to provide as much grip as possible. The upper part of the boot can be quickly and precisely closed with a single H4 BOA® dial on the tongue. Below, we used BOA® TX3 textile laces to further reduce weight, increase durability, and provide a more natural closure feel.
Inside, our "thermoformable" "Bronze Level" liner with a single-layer insole will provide you with support, comfort, and warmth. Like the rest of our range, the Sierra W has an asymmetrical shape on the outer side, which means the boot fits our bindings perfectly and provides optimal power transfer.
Characteristics
Closure, Single-Dial BOA®
The single BOA® dial located on the tongue pulls the steel lace across the entire surface of the shell. It's the fastest and simplest way to fasten and unfasten the boot.
BOA®, Fit System H4 Dial
Ready for anything, designed to withstand the most. The reliable BOA® H4 Dial was created for the most demanding riders and is impact-resistant – from the park to deep powder. Its robust design allows for quick and smooth operation, even while wearing gloves.
Heel Lock, 3D Liner Support
Outsole, Gravity
Made from a single piece of extremely durable and lightweight EVA foam, our standard Gravity outsole provides excellent cushioning and a tread similar to that used in our top-of-the-line shoes.
Liner, Bronze level
Our Bronze liner features an integrated lacing system that stabilizes the foot, supported by a low-profile lock that slides along the laces. It is thermoformable, allowing it to adapt to the individual shape of the foot, and has increased volume around the ankle to prevent heel lift. Our patented Custom Flex Zone enhances toe mobility, and 8 mm of PE foam ensures excellent overall comfort.
Liner Closure, Liner Lacing
The internal lacing system is located directly on the liner.
Insole, 3D Single Density
