Index is the latest flagship freeride boot, built for unlimited backcountry adventures. It is equipped with Nidecker's latest technology and delivers stiffness for pure performance in the high mountains, whether you're hiking from the lift or riding a splitboard in untouched terrain. We built it around an asymmetrical upper that fits the foot and calf perfectly, with flex zones for unmatched control without sacrificing comfort. The waterproof Storm Cover provides extra shelter for your feet and prevents laces from icing up in deep snow. The lacing system itself is top-of-the-line BOA H4 Coiler, with a brand-new Internal Heel Lock system operated by a side dial and a separate mechanism on the tongue to tighten the shell.
Expect unreal comfort and foot hold. To maximize grip on frozen terrain, a premium B.F.T Vibram Approach outsole with Icetrek rubber compound has been added, while dual layers of EVA in the midsole reduce vibrations on rough terrain and help soften big landings. The outsole connects to the Exo Spine through our seamless Transition Zone construction, eliminating the possibility of the boot heel catching on the binding and increasing heel responsiveness. Solid feel continues in the forefoot thanks to a durable TPU shield called ArmourTech, which protects your toes when stepping along ridgelines. Inside is a Gold Level Wrap Liner that provides unmatched comfort and support. Make no mistake, this is the absolute pinnacle of boot technology. HYBRID TONGUE CLOSING
Boa® Hybrid Tongue Closing uses a Boa® Coiler over the tongue for strength and power, and a side dial with a special lacing system. This setup provides independent adjustment of the upper and lower zones, an excellent fit, and outstanding support. It uses TX3 lace for the best precision, responsiveness, and support.
BOA H4 COILER
Ready for anything, designed to last. From the park to the podium, the H4 stands up to the impacts of the most demanding riders. Effortlessly and quickly, Coiler quickly takes up lace slack, improving the speed of putting the boot on.
B.F.T. VIBRAM APPROACH
The top-class outsole is combined with a full EVA midsole for the best comfort under the entire foot. The OC-Kush insole provides excellent cushioning under the heel. Most importantly, the new Vibram ICE-TREK compound is the best rubber available for cold, icy, or snowy surfaces. Additional traction at the toe and heel was inspired by fish scales.

3D MOLDED DUAL DENSITY INSOLE
Advanced anatomical shape made of comfortable high-density EVA material supporting the heel zone and arch, as well as a special EVA material that provides excellent heel cushioning. The silicone print on the top adds grip to the fleece-lined insole.
