Product description
Nidecker SUPERMATIC Snowboard Bindings
Nidecker Supermatic is what we have been waiting for in snowboarding: the first universal, automatic binding with the option of a classic strap-in. Many brands have tried and failed to crack the step-in code. Most of those systems required special boots, many of them did not perform well in powder, and none of them was as comfortable and reliable as a regular two-strap binding.
After four years spent by the Nidecker Team developing its own step-in system, a proprietary solution for automatically fastening step-in bindings was created, solving almost all of the problems of this type of snowboard binding in harsh winter conditions. After some time of testing and after the first period of sales, it turned out that Supermatic is a real breakthrough for snowboarding, and within just a few years Supermatic® bindings revolutionized the way people ride snowboards. The Carbon Supermatic® model raises the bar by using exceptionally lightweight materials and an advanced hiback in our best-selling quick-entry binding.
It is a stiff, low-profile construction that instantly transfers power to the edges, providing maximum control. Solid support lets you handle the biggest transitions and the most demanding runs. Getting in has become even faster.
-
Carbon S Ultraback provides exceptionally lightweight support and a perfect fit. The asymmetrical design uses carbon across the entire hiback — including forward lean adjustment — guaranteeing outstanding response on heel-side turns.
-
Next-generation LSR 2.0 buckles automatically lock after tightening is complete. This lets you instantly set your preferred strap tension and make quick adjustments while riding.
-
Carbon Supermatic® is compatible with almost every snowboard boot and delivers the ride feel typical of classic two-strap bindings. The AuxTech® material used on the toe strap and the slim Exo-Kush Pro S ankle strap offer exceptional comfort while keeping weight low.

SUPERMATIC - CONSTRUCTION
The binding has a solid construction so it can perform in all harsh winter conditions. It is built from impact-resistant fiberglass (stiffness) and nylon (flexibility). A very important role in the binding is played by the innovative roller located on the inner side of the highback, over which the boot sole and heel slide into the binding without friction. Then, at the base, there is a slippery Slip-N-Grip plate that helps the boot slide over the pad, making it easy and quick to get the boot deep into the binding. A massive metal (rustproof) two-sided locking mechanism locks or releases the highback, which, when closing, like in Flow bindings, presses the boot into the binding with great force and prevents it from loosening. The nylon asymmetrical highback (Hiback Asym Hadron) has been designed to fit the shape of the boot perfectly. The highback has varying stiffness, transferring energy where it is needed while riding. The highback also features forward lean adjustment, which makes it easier to adapt to conditions, riding style, and the rider. The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech construction found in high-end traditional Nidecker and Flow bindings, as well as the same Hybrid strap. Very important is that Supermatic is equipped with universal "multi discs" that fit all binding mounting systems on boards: 4HP (4X4), 3HP (3D), Channel (IDS). Additionally, Nidecker offers a new disc for rental shops or for those who want to easily change binding angles on the board; this special and advanced disc is the "Rental EasyLock" disc with the "Easy Lock" system (the disc is permanently mounted on the board, and you unclip the bindings from the board and can put them in a bag (transport, storage) or, during use, easily change the binding angles on the board while testing different settings; the price of the EasyLock disc is 299 PLN (pair) - ask our staff about these discs.
The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer and has no complicated mechanism that could jam. If conditions on the slope require it, e.g. in deep snow, you can then step in or out of them in the same way as with classic bindings.
BankBeds - We design our footbeds with a contact surface angled at 2.5° to provide optimal ankle and knee alignment and efficient energy transfer.
Slip-N-Grip - Smooth plates strategically placed inside the binding reduce friction under the boot sole. The Slip-N-Grip system allows easy entry and exit without compromising the underfoot comfort provided by our BankBeds footbeds.
Quick-Set Latches - Adjust the straps from the inside of the binding to fit the boot and keep them centered. Quick-Set Latches require no tools — they are simple and secure. Numbering on the strap ladders makes it easy to quickly set the correct position.
SUPERMATIC - OPERATION
At the beginning, you adjust the strap and straps once to the size of the boot, preparing the binding for further use, set the highback forward lean, etc... And now the quick action on the snow:
1. Step in > 1s per leg = 2s and ride.
Why so fast? Because Supermatic works on the principle of a tilting highback, similar to the Flow system, which we also call Drop-In Tech.
All you have to do is push the boot through the rear of the binding and step with the heel of the boot onto the lever of the locking mechanism, which automatically snaps shut in a fraction of a second, securing the boot.
You are ready to ride in 2 seconds.
2. Step out > 2s per leg = 4s and unstrapped.
The bindings have a solid lever located on the inner (safe) side of the binding, which you press with your thumb after bending down to the bindings. Under pressure, the lock is released and the binding opens.
At the same time, it is a good idea to press on the strap with the boot while leaning forward, and then the strap holding the boot lifts up and makes getting out of the binding quick as well.
!! Warning !! Do not press the opening lever with your boot; too much pressure may break it.
SUPERMATIC - SUMMARY
In summary, Supermatic is a medium-stiff binding rated 8/10, which the Nidecker team has rated as the most comfortable so far. We tested it everywhere - on groomed slopes (corduroy), on steep descents in deep snow, and in the park riding obstacles - with the participation of many riders from around the world invited to test Supermatic bindings. It is the best quick-entry system you can trust. Whether you are tired of bending over, sitting in the snow and getting your pants wet while fastening straps, or you want to annoy your skier friends by riding away from the lift faster, or maybe you have a big belly :) and it is hard for you to bend down... every one of these situations is definitely solved by Supermatic bindings! Have a great ride and a beautiful winter, wishes FLOWSHOP.
