SPHERICAL TECHNOLOGY™
Spherical Technology, powered by Mips®, is an improvement and evolution of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (Mips). Thanks to this sophisticated design, two layers of foam fit together like a ball and socket. This system helps protect the brain from rotational energy by allowing relative movement of up to 10–15 millimeters between the helmet and the head during the first milliseconds of impact. Developed in the Bell + Giro Dome in collaboration with Mips®, the patented Spherical Technology innovation with ball-and-socket technology redirects impact forces, combining market-leading design, performance, and brain protection without compromising comfort, ventilation, weight, or style.

MIPS EQUIPPED
Mips® may provide greater protection in the event of certain impacts. The main elements of a helmet equipped with Mips are the inner foam liner, the low-friction liner, and the elastomeric attachment system. In the event of an angled impact, the elastomeric attachment system stretches, allowing the foam liner to rotate independently around the head.

CONFORM FIT TECHNOLOGY
The fully integrated Conform Fit system uses a two-piece shell that literally adapts to the shape of the head, expanding and contracting with a dial. A truly adaptive design, featuring a durable yet semi-flexible EPP construction that provides the lowest-profile fit we have ever created and unmatched comfort.

HYBRID CONSTRUCTION
Hybrid Construction combines a durable, ventilated Hard Shell upper with an In-Mold lower shell and sidewalls for added protection and style. Thanks to Hybrid Construction, the helmet is reinforced to provide extra durability while remaining lightweight. Hybrid Construction also features impact-absorbing and lightweight EPS foam padding.

D2 CONSTRUCTION
D2 Construction combines two densities of polypropylene foam (EPP) to handle high- and low-energy impacts. In addition, EPP offers impressive resilience — this crushable foam regains its shape and retains some of its protective properties after repeated impacts.

IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION
In-Mold construction combines a durable outer polycarbonate shell with impact-absorbing foam helmet padding. The bonding process allows for better ventilation systems, making In-Mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

HARD SHELL CONSTRUCTION
Hard Shell Construction produces great helmets at a great price. The durable outer shell is molded and then attached to the EPS foam liner.

IN FORM 2 FIT SYSTEM
The In Form 2 system is lighter and lower profile than the original, making fit even easier in seconds — even with gloves on. The updated On-The-Fly Vertical Tuning feature adapts to different goggles and head shapes, ensuring a gap-free fit.

PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE VENTING SYSTEM
The discreet design of the external vent and internal channels (including the lining and padding) combine to provide optimal airflow and temperature regulation. This automatic venting technology manages airflow and temperature movement while riding, hiking, or standing still.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL™
The adjustable Thermostat Control ventilation allows instant adjustment of airflow with a simple, low-profile control button on the outside of the helmet. No other system is faster or easier to adjust, and nothing is more effective at providing comfort.

STACK VENT
Our Stack Vent was developed based on research that showed most of the warm air that can cause fogging escapes from the central upper vent of the goggles. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the goggle vent helps keep them clear and fog-free.

FIDLOCK® MAGNETIC BUCKLE CLOSURE
The pressure-free, one-handed Fidlock® Magnetic Snap buckle for helmets combines the advantages of two fastening concepts in a completely new way. Strong magnets make it easy to open and close, and the secure snap function provides continuous locking force.

VIVID LENS TECHNOLOGY WITH OPTICS BY ZEISS®
VIVID is a patented lens technology - developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS® Optics - that improves the visual experience on snow by increasing contrast and definition. VIVID lens technology effectively minimizes blue light, letting in contrast-enhancing blue light while blocking harmful UV radiation. VIVID essentially filters out fog and frees the eyes to see the line and focus on the joy of riding.
