HEAD SHAPE - Giro's proprietary head forms were developed using a combination of precise head scans, detailed fit studies, and aggregation of data on head size and shape from around the world. Giro also uses scaled head shapes to match our Asian fit line.

HELMET DEPTH - The ideal helmet depth successfully combines comfort with full coverage of the forehead, back of the head, and ears. We achieve this through careful research and 3D-printed prototypes to ensure the perfect fit in the face of low temperatures, high speeds, and wind.


*GIRO AUDIO ACCESSORIES BY OUTDOOR TECH - The wireless Chips™ 2.0 headphones feature one-touch control buttons and hands-free phone call functionality. The wired Chips™ headphones are a universal wired model with easy-to-use controls (even with gloves on) and 10-hour playback time. Both models are equipped with full-range 40 mm speakers and proven performance down to -29°C.


*HARD SHELL CONSTRUCTION - Hard Shell construction creates great helmets at an excellent price. The durable outer shell is molded and then attached to an EPS foam liner.


*IN FORM™ FIT SYSTEM - The In Form adjustment system allows you to easily select the right fit in seconds - even with gloves on. The ergonomic dial at the base of the helmet provides up to 6 cm of adjustment and increases stability. The vertical tuning feature accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a snug fit without unnecessary slack.

*PRECISION PADDING
PAD ZONE DESIGN - Giro padding is strategically placed and works in tandem with head shape, helmet depth, and the MIPS system. The padding is positioned to provide warmth and breathability, and to match the helmet's ventilation systems and achieve seamless compatibility with Giro goggles.

EAR PAD POSITIONING - Ear pad adjustment is a key element of fit and comfort. Each Giro helmet model is studied to achieve the ideal ear pad setup to provide the necessary warmth, comfort, and wind reduction, all without compromising the ability to hear your surroundings.


*SEAMLESS COMPATIBILITY
BETTER TOGETHER - Giro helmets and goggles have been carefully designed and tested to work smoothly together as a cohesive unit. We consider all aspects of integration and functionality to achieve the perfect fit, comfort, and performance on snow.

GOGGLE MOUNT POSITIONING - Proper placement of the goggle mount completes the Giro package. Easy integration of goggles and helmet is essential to achieve top performance. Risks associated with poor mount placement include: poor helmet positioning on the head, impaired visibility, brain freeze, poor ventilation, and a gap between the helmet and goggles.


*STACK VENT - Our chimney ventilation was developed based on research showing that most of the warm air that can cause lens fogging escapes through the middle upper vent of the goggles. Aligning the helmet vent with the goggle vent helps keep them clear and fog-free.
